Home security is very important, and perhaps even more important than ever. The good news is that while criminals are sneakier, these days, technology is also far better than generations past. There are Hikvision home alarms that can alert the authorities if you have any security concerns but the tech has expanded to include so many new things that can certainly make it much harder for burglars and other dangerous risks.
SECURITY ALARM WINDOWS
In addition to motion alarms and surveillance cameras, many people have found security alarm windows to be a wise addition. Security alarm windows are very simple: they set off a very loud and aggressive sound when triggered. These might be the last of the practical home security alarms as they are not considered to be “smart” alarms (they are not networked with other systems with an option to control and monitor them remotely).
SMART DOOR LOCKS
Smart locks can be a smart investment for your home as they not only make your home secure but also because they make security more convenient. Sure, the stock door you have probably has a deadbolt, and that is pretty much the foundation for a smart lock. What makes a smart lock so special, though, is that you can handle the lock remotely, using a smart phone.
Basically, a smart lock works the same way as a traditional deadbolt: you can lock it from inside with your hand or you can lock it from outside with a key. However, you have the additional option of locking it remotely using an app on your phone. This also means that you should be able to unlock it with the same app: unlock it from the car before you carry in the groceries, or unlock the door for family visiting from out of town. You get the idea.
The doorbell has been pretty much unchanged since its inception; until now. These days you can opt for a video doorbell which basically has a camera installed so you can actually see who is ringing your doorbell. It powers on immediately when someone presses the bell button and streams or records the video in 1080p high definition, so there is no mistaking who is standing outside trying to get you to open the door. That is so much better than the distorted fisheye lens of your peephole.
